Georgia Perimeter College offers 3 year Accelerated BBA

Great news for those students hoping to save time and possibly money! GPC, in a joint venture with Georgia Southwestern State University is offering the state’s first three-year accelerated BBA Degree in Management or Accounting! What I also love about this is that much of the program is available online!! It is not an easy program and summer courses are necessary, but it is a fantastic opportunity for our Georgia students!!

Johns Creek Annual Light Show 12/1/10 thru 1/2/11

The 9th Annual Holiday Light Show at Technology Park/Johns Creek features nearly 1 mile of displays along Hospital Parkway.  It is something our family has come to enjoy on a regular basis and thus has become a new tradition.  If you have the chance, don’t miss it.

The show is free to the public and runs through January 2, 2011. The show is sponsored by Johns Creek Owners Association, Emory Johns Creek Hospital and Suwanee EMC.

Bring your family and friends to share in the festivities. The light show also is conveniently located near our excellent Johns Creek retail shopping centers, so you can get some holiday shopping in to boot!  The Christmas spirit is alive and well in Johns Creek!!!!

The Nutcracker Ballet (Roswell) and the Wizard of Oz (Johns Creek)to be performed in December 2010 locally.

Blessed Trinity Fine Arts Center, located at 11340 Woodstock Rd, in Roswell, GA, presents The Nutcracker Ballet.  This North Atlanta Dance Theater production is the only professional production in North Atlanta featuring adult dancers in lead roles and stars Johns Creek resident, Danielle Dawes, as Clara.  Performances are scheduled for 12/3 @7:30pm, 12/4 @2:30pm and 7:30pm and 12/5 @2:30pm.  Tickets are $22.00 and is appropriate for all ages.

Shakerag Elementary Schools’ fourth and fifth graders have been preparing for their performance of THE WIZARD OF OZ on December 14, 2010 at 7:00pm – 8:30pm. Come and enjoy the performance and enjoy dessert afterward. Tickets will be available at the door for a $5.00 donation per ticket.  All proceeds help fund equipment, materials, instruments for the music department and future Shakerag Productions.

NE Spruill Oaks Library to offer Health and Wellness Fair and more Nov. 14, 2010

Northeast Spruill Oaks Library, located on Spruill Road, In Johns Creek, GA, in partnership with Dr. Claire Welsh of Care More Chiropractic, will be sponsoring a Health & Wellness Fair featuring free Massages, blood pressure checks, foot scans, spine exams, yoga for adults and babies, tips from a personal trainer, and a whole host of other goodies and surprises. This program meets once a month during the fall and spring semesters to peruse galley books sent to us from the American Library Association (ALA) and YALSA.

Teens will meet in the “Teens Matter” Teen Center, write book reviews and we submit them to YALSA for perusal and they select the Top Ten Teen book reviews for Georgia Peach Awards and other selected awards.

Charity Guild of St Ives to host 20th Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Expo, Nov. 7, 2010

It is that time of year again, when the Charity Guild of St Ives hosts it’s Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Expo!

The event will be held Sunday, November 7th, 2010 from Noon to 5pm in the St Ives Country Club.  Featured will be over 40 of the southeast’s finest Artisans and crafters, plus a gourmet bake sale.  Some of the gifts will include; handcrafted gold & silver jewelry, fashion accessories, holiday decor, handmade organic soaps 7 beauty products, and many unique gifts for everyone on your holiday list.

The Admission cost is $5.00 and it includes a shopping bag & raffle ticket.
